Excellence Through Inspections
Before Beginning Work
At Jag'd Construction Inc., we conduct inspections prior to the beginning of work, with a strong emphasis on ensuring surface readiness, environmental factors, and material compliance to avert premature failures. Essential pre-work procedures encompass reviewing project specifications, checking for surface contaminants like rust, oil, and salt, confirming surface preparation and anchor profiles, monitoring dew point and humidity, and validating coating materials.
The Importance of Pre-Work Inspections:
- Prevention of Failures: Inadequate surface preparation is the leading cause of coating failures.
- Cost Efficiency: Early identification of problems prevents the expensive process of rework.
- Extended Durability: Thorough pre-checks result in improved coating adhesion and overall performance.

After Application Inspection
After curing, the dry film thickness of the coating is meticulously evaluated using a dry film thickness gauge, ensuring that it meets the specified requirements for optimal performance. During this critical phase, inspectors are tasked with conducting thorough adhesion testing to assess the bond strength of the coating to the substrate. Additionally, they carry out comprehensive visual inspections to identify any pinholes, runs, or inclusions that could compromise the integrity of the coating.
In the unfortunate event of a failure, Jag'd Construction Inc. will carry out the necessary repairs and adhere to the same stringent procedures as those employed during the application of the original system.
